Also agree: likely thermostat.

Do you have good heat output at idle?

Tstat is probably sticking open. Should set a code aftet a while. P0128 or something like that. Or if its a VW code, it will say W4729fndkdk or something of that nature lol

Thermostat is what I was going to say, but MM54 beat me to it.

No codes stored, except 02 sensors.

Do you have chocolate milkshake in the oil sump and coolant overflow tank? Is the coolant tank puking its guts out? Are you blowing white smoke?

If so, you have a bad head gasket!

Otherwise... Yeah... It’s probably a stuck thermostat. I changed both of the tstats on the Duramax yesterday.

You don’t always get a code if the thermostat sticks on cold start. Instead the ECU will stay in open loop mode. If it is egregious enough you may get one.

That was the mode of failure on my Silverado.

Low coolant most likely

Radiator fan not spinning. So water doesn't get cooled as much until you start moving at highway speeds.

Not that. Coolant level is fine.
